Meet Rhian: A girl in her thirties

Posted by

What’s this all about I hear you ask?

Well, my name is Rhian and I am widely known as a “glamour girl” having graced the pages of lad’s mags and newspapers for the last 12+ years.

People read about me, see pictures of me and judge my whole life/make up from what they read and see on my Instagram.

I’ve always presented a life I want people to see on my social media (as does everybody else). This new outlet is delving more into the real me and a bit more of what I am about.

Also giving me the freedom to say what I want and how I want too.

These days, being semi-naked on the internet can be quite burdensome. I’m not ashamed. I’ve loved every second of it. However, it does make people perceive me in a way that isn’t true to life. The girl’s got a personality you know!?

Being thirty-something, I’ve found that life has turned into a whirlwind of excitement and confusion.

I don’t know about you, but I had my life all mapped out from a young age. I thought I would have my life in order and my own little family by the time I was 30. Possibly living on a farm, running an injured animal shelter, know how to boil an egg. That kind of thing.

Never once did I think I would spend my life being half naked and plastered all over the t’interweb. It’s funny how things turn out.

By creating this online space where I can pour out my heart to you in the form of confessions, share life lessons while learning, coping, and trying to figure it all out is something else I never thought I would be doing. Yet here I am.

What I have learned though, since turning 30, is that it can be bloody scary learning to navigate through life and answer all the what ifs, and but why’s? Life gets spookily serious when you approach the cusp on adulthood.

We don’t have the slightest clue of what’s coming next, so we just need to enjoy the ride. I don’t have all the answers. In fact, most days I find myself wandering the streets of Manchester in search of them.

One thing I do know is that I love to write. I enjoy getting creative, venting, using it as a way to express myself and this is my way of welcoming you into my real world.

Essentially though, this site is going to be about things that make me happy, things that have inspired me and everything in between.

Roll on my thirties.
